The second annual ‘Geoff Moule Memorial’ at Nyora Speedbowl is gaining momentum with the announcement today of a naming rights sponsor. LP GAS 1 have thrown their support behind the 2010 Memorial announcing today they will be the major sponsor for this year’s event.

Nyora Speedbowl and the Melbourne Mini Sprint Club are thrilled to announce the latest addition to this fantastic $2000 to win event running on the 20th of March, which is gathering huge interest from all around the country. With 13 nominations already received and a dozen more serious enquiries yet to return their nominations and still a month to go before the closing date, it is set to be an absolute cracker of an event.

With the added funds available after securing LP GAS 1 as the major sponsor, the already attractive prize and tow money pools are going to increase substantially.

The race is open to all cars eligible under the National Lightning Sprint rules (including Compact Speedcars with Wings) and in another huge coup current Australian Lightning Sprint Champion Karl Geddes has put his signature on the line to be the top billing driver.

Karl spoke about the event. “These are the type of events we hoped would spring up right around the country with the national direction we all took by beginning mergers of various categories around the nation. Nyora have been a supporter of Mini Sprinter racing for many years and they have opened the door with this event for all of us to enter and show off our sport. They tell me Ryan McKenna and Danny Stainer lapped Nyora as quick as the 327ci Sprintcars last time at Nyora, I can’t wait to get there.”
