This Saturday night history will be made when two drivers from the Melbourne Minisprint club cross the border to compete interstate for the very first time.
Danny Milton and Ryan Mckenna will be heading to Murray Bridge speedway S.A to compete in round three of the South Aust Challenge series. With 20 cars nominated and virtually no racing in Victoria to date, the pair are super keen to get stuck into the South Aussies.
"I cant wait to see ho the Toyota goes against the V6's, i'm really confident I can give them a big shake, the Toyota is puting out some really impressive figures and with my driving prowess, we should be rite up the pointy end" says a modest Milton who will have his first outing for the season in the V21 Solid Axle Industries Foster.
Winner of the opening round of the Victorian series Ryan McKenna is raring to go after having the last two rounds cancelled. "It's just great to be able to go and race with a decent field of cars, if I can finish in the top 10 I will be over the moon".
The club wishes both racers all the best and would like to than Lee Payne and the S.A Lightning Sprints for organizing such a fantasic series and inviting our guys over.
Our spy in the sky tells us a certain Ligtning sprint was hanging out of a fence in a paddock on the weekend, hopefully not to much damage was done and the car and driver can make it to a real race track in the very near future.
